Reviews
I have either owned or used several fully automatic espresso machines and can say that I 'm much happier rwith the "semi-automatic Ultima. Why? Because the fully automatic machines (the Grind it for you) are too primmirat under one or another. For example, with a grain of gum thats too fatty operation is very simple, so that I 'I said "dont use fat beans "... Eh? In addition, no matter that I used more beans automatic dosing was not consistent. So my solution to this problem is using the bypass doser (ie, ground for yourself). Until Fully automatic here. My personal experience was with a fully automatic capresse all of my complaints, once I knew their peculiarities and kept clean, and when it was good espresso and coffee. But when finally refurbing needed some tries I decided that the past was more than I wanted. My conclusion on Super Automatic ... not worth the expense and behavior peculiar. r RSO my semi-automated Last (refurb ). So far no regrets. Apart from the milling machine / do, the latter is more convenient for me than the super automatic. It is easier to clean. As easy to clean mind whenever l ' use! But you do not need often. Once / twice a week should be fine depending on usage. r rthe coffee is on par with the Super Automatic although it has found the routine must be fine for the same results as I 'm before. r Ras with my other (Super Automatic) capresse also found that the temperature of the coffee / espresso was a bit cold for me. r rthe only feature that I had was a way to adjust the amount of water for the use of coffee cream. As it is, or use the same glass or measuring the quantity produced to obtain the results accurate. It would be fantastic to have a water line (I think that is appearing in other brands) so it takes the same amount each time. r rOtherwise, this is a great machine (so far there were only a few few weeks). RPro 's: great coffee / espresso, easy to use, easy to clean, heats quickly. Great value compared to machines Super Auto. Rcon also customer service is excellent for capresse ! 's: coffee to cool (for me), without adjustment of the outflow. R GH certainly recommend this machine. I ' d give it 5 stars if it had control of outflow .
I bought my Capresso in October 2007 and was initially very satisfied. I worked at that time I only use it on Saturday and Sunday morning. I moved in August 2008 so I Capresso was packed and shipped. I took delivery in October 2008 and used it since then until January when he went belly-up. Of course, it is no longer under warranty. I called the company and for the $ 80 charge, which includes repair and shipping costs, they offered to renew it. After my return to be guaranteed for three months. Within 6-8 weeks it failed. I sent it back again under a new warranty. I spent most of April and May travel. After I returned, I Started using again - every morning because we now have retired. I have no complaints about the quality or foam drinks - only that parts of plastic machinery can not stand. I'll order a coffee machine and new this time I will make sure that no plastic involved. This machine is a big disappointment and I pay the full $ 300 for it.
I had one of these in my office about 7 years. I use it, as some colleagues several times a day. It seems pretty cheap plastic, but is a warhorse and easy to use without the need to develop a technique, as is the case for most. R rit is very versatile in the size of the routine, and forgiving. In fact it is so forgiving I'm really tempted to put loose leaf tea on it to see if you can make quick tea, prepared as Keurig pressure. Has anyone tried this? R [...]
The Capresso finally got for Christmas of 2007 and I was only one issue (which is set to 5 minutes after I called the customer service line). Machine works amazingly well and has made amazing espresso for my lattes. Cleaning is quick and easy. R ri use the machine almost daily and it is so reliable. If for some reason it never was me I immediately bought another in a heart beat! R rThanks Capresso for making a wonderful product! You have a customer for life!
Our first unit was originally damaged during shipping, but Amazon sent us another very quickly and it works very well. I can 't give it 5 stars because we ' ve only had it 2 months, but so far it works very well. What Love frother!
I had to return this machine, unfortunately. It is disappointing that after each infusion blocked and had to be taken completely wipe the machine. In addition, the routine of espresso should be much progress, or otherwise not go through the filter.
Had this machine for more than two years and has experienced the O-ring problems mentioned in other reviews (torn). Called customer service number provided in the booklet - a human being answered, said they were sorry we had a problem and sent us two new rings that we have achieved in two hours at no cost. Customer service alone I would buy this time, as well as other products Capresso. On top of this, it makes the best coffee ever and is extremely easy to use and easy to clean.
If you want a no-fail cappuccino machine - this is the machine for you. You won 't get Richest frothiest the coffee and milk (although you can get pretty close) but you are going to get rid of the hassle Which is more important in a machine used over and over throughout the day for you and all your family members + guests. r rbe careful not to fill up the machine with too much coffee, or it will be brewed straight into the bin ... We 've wasted a lot of coffee this way ... r rMake sure you buy a milk pitcher along with the machine. It will come in handy. Rattleware 12-Ounce Latte Art Pitcher r rAltogether it 'sa great machine, easy to use and more importantly - EASY TO MAINTAIN. I 'll recommend it to my friends ...
I bought this car about 6 months ago and love it. Yes, it's a bit 'weird getting used to, but once you get used to the system, the great works. R rthe expressed cream perfect, and is ready to do the shooting. My only real pet peeve is that sometimes not enough hot milk froth. R rOtherwise, I would recommend this machine to all those who want to express great.
This is a great espresso machine. My wife and I have used it for 2 years without any problems. The machine works just as advertised, and it is simple to use. Cleaning the machine is also easy. R rmy only word of caution is about the machine 's ability to rapidly produce lots of steamed milk. For two Mochas, the machine can steam milk from the fridge up to about 120 degrees, but then the steam runs out and the machine needs a minute to steam again. I 've found that by steaming the milk first, then making the espresso shots, the machine is ready to steam again and wants to get the milk to 160 easily (when I stop because that ' s where I like it). So if you 're planning on making lots of drinks at once, you might need a machine that is more powerful, but for two coffee drinkers, this one has been great.
If you love espresso machine that is well worth having in your kitchen. R Rit is incredibly easy to use, you would like to see TO PREPARE, including espresso and cappuccino that I found a little intimidating / not successful with before I got this machine. R Rit is fairly easy to install and prepare for your drink, takes me several minutes at about this point, and the machine is quick and easy to maintain. R meu in any one of the best things that I often use in cooking.
I was forced to leave a review of the Last because I only have to say how pleased I am with him. This little machine is awesome! I 'ma self-proclaimed coffee snob and a perfectionist. I reviewed several machines before settling on the latter. I 'm definitely glad I did. It makes good espresso with a layer of cream of Nice. If you want a good cup of coffee you 'll do it as you can control when to stop the pump. Preparation is easier and more convenient to obtain with it the easier it gets. I recommend it 100%. "The only reason I 't give 5 stars is because it ' ll only take 2 tablespoons of coffee at a time which limits the amount of coffee you can do once. Also, do not the prettiest machine but you get more of that as soon as you start making coffee. I had a Krups driven pump before it cost about the same and went to look waterproof, but an inferior product. These are minor points however. In general, the price and quality wise, can 't be beat. R RUpdate: 08/16/2009 r Republic of Korea as "I had this thing about 3 months and have perfected my cappuccino. I 'll say it again, this machine is awesome! RCouldn 't live without it. I have the equivalent of a $ 4.00 cup of coffee each day, at any time, and knows much better than Starbucks, too. Buy one!!
This machine was to me by my best friend who owns a coffee company and provides recommended and provides high-end hotels and restaurants with expensive espresso machines, and is quite the perfectionist. He wanted me, together with its commercial machines, which would have taken a lot of space, and would be a water supply that need, etc., and he had to buy one of these machines in a few years held in front of me en. It 's so easy to use. Tamps the Grind to the correct pressure, has the grounds clean with no mess, easy, easy to load the coffee, easy to load the water, beautiful cream, big pressure. My only two complaints are that it is initially not quite as hot as I would like Americanos, but I steam the final brew a bit, and it is hot enough, and I wish the steam nozzle was just a bit longer. The first heat is only 30 seconds, so that by the time you have pressed and loaded, the coffee is ready to go there. I just don 't think it is a better, easy-to-machine designed for the price to use the term good as this.
I love this machine. I read some reviews before buying. Most were good. One of them explained that their machine wouldn 't work, no matter what the grind. It clogged. I was worried about it, but never happened to me. My machine is not at all picky. I like that it 's semi-automatic, so I control how my coffee. It 's easy to make and easy to clean.
This machine makes espresso drinks very easy, fast and tasty. I have a very nice espresso machine with PORTAFILTER tradional. I do a fantasic shot of espresso with the tradional car, but it takes me about three times higher then prepare the Capresso Ultima. The Capresso does a damn good shot too. Its so easy to use and easy to clean. It looks and feels kind of cheap with all the plasic, but if it works without problems for several years I can not forget the feeling of cheap plastic. My car wheights tradional about £ 35 to wheights Capresso about 1 / 3 of that WHEIGHT. I talk a lot of weight in my exprince because the old heavy steel tend to last longer than the cheap plasic. Not to say that the Capresso Ultima is cheap, its not. I just hope dont all plastics. Chalks that if they used more steel, the price would be much higher. At that price point is, its very Afordable quality beverages you can do with it.
These units make great tasting coffee drink, making them quickly and easily. For this, worth at least four stars. My wife and I loved this maker. I will choose the president was awesome. R rThis review will focus on the negative points (eg "why 's not 5 stars!"), But make no mistake, that I love this espresso maker. There are some things you should know before taking the plunge: r r1) For starters, know that the Capresso 's customer service * fantastic *. Real answers to support the line (after a short menu system). For warranty service, they send spare parts with the UPS return label. Let 's see ... awesome, cool-oo, great, um ... Did I say awesome yet? R r2) It * is * sensitive to grind coffee. I'm having trouble temperature and taste until I started using fine grinding. When buying at Starbucks, ask for # 4. Standard espresso grind will not work (no liquid comes out). If the grind is too coarse, the coffee doesn 't get hot enough, and the extraction is poor. For best results, get a thorn grinder (I have a Breville that works excellent). R r3) DO NOT EVER play the wrong way to handle. If the binding handle when changing the right way, it means the car is full of waste - clean it before you make a cup. If you fail in one of these warnings, you may be sent through to be repaired. R R4) Make sure you keep the coffee grinds out of the water compartment. If you grind or some sand into the water valve, the latter would urinate all over your desk. R R5) Lift the carousel grinds and clean the garbage at least once a week. They tend to cake up, especially if you're lazy about car exhaust.
You can call us afficcionados espresso, Although not the type that would spend a thousand dollars on a machine. None of the restaurants and cafes in Hoboken (which is very close to NYC and have many yuppies) make espresso as good of our ultimate Capresso. We 've had this machine a 4 years! We 've contacted customer service once and they sent us a replacement o-ring soon but I didn ' t need it, only to clean the engine a little better. It 's so easy to use, clean and maintain. I 've owned a few machines along the way, but this one beats them all hands down. You really can 't slip up, until you get to (Capresso) good quality burr grinder or espresso coffee.
A whole-hearted 5 stars for the coffee - at this price. [Now reduced to 3 stars] r rWithin 2 minutes to stumble into my kitchen first thing in the morning, only half awake - I'm sipping a delicious drink. R Rit is extremely easy to produce good espresso with pre - ground coffee with this machine. Even pre-ground (fine grind) keeps the coffee produces a Crema impressive. R rCleanup (between cups) is a snap too. When coffee is prepared, an easy 3 / 4 turn of the handle at the top releases of past patterns in his storage bin inside the machine and prepare for the next dose of coffee. Keeping the 53 oz water reservoir is filled with the routine task than others. R rthe frother / steam works well - Lattes and cappuccinos are a snap. Immediately after each use with milk, a sudden burst of steam and a wipe the wand with a damp cloth keeps working well (between weekly cleaning). R rA warning light will indicate when it is time to empty the land used and there is also an indicator for a plate overflowing text. Once a week is a good time to remove the upper part (carousel) of the machine and the water tank and hand-wash and rinse, and also to clean the frother. R rLongevity is the only issue I deal with this excellent machine. I would add to this comment if I have questions. R rUpdate (October 19, 2009) r rthe initial euphoria has disappeared from my assessment has been made. R ri am always satisfied with the ease and simplicity to get a cup first thing in the morning when a semi-awake, but I do agree that the espresso and steamed / foamed milk that it produces is only satisfactory. Perhaps the main problem is the temperature of preparation of coffee, since plans are a little over 150 degrees F. R rthe main seal that seals the infusion chamber, collapsed in August after 5 months of actual use - 4 to 6 cups per day when not on vacation. Capresso 's quick responses to my emails got the machine working again soon. They sent a joint replacement - a simple job to replace another, but will be needed before the machine is one year at that rate. And what happens after the machine is one year? R rBTW to avoid coffee is poured into the tank overflow: rcheck that there is water available before the infusion after a pitcher of steamed milk. Rdo not overfill with coffee. REnsure that the main lever is locked in position by trying to lift him after he was pushed.
Pros: r-Making good espresso until broken r rCons: r-Cheap plastic construction will fail within one year r-poor design of this machine caused the water leak and espresso reason r-Capresso won 't sell parts internal and require machines to be sent to their service center at a cost of $ 75 to repair r rI have coffee every day, I know I have an espresso machine durable. I 've had Capresso Ultima Espresso Machine for about three months. At first I thought it was a great machine and sell Gaggia espresso machine that I have owned for ten years. BIG MISTAKE! I have to replace the internal reasons after bucket in the last two months as a trigger for the "full reasons " broken light switch. Then, last started leaking water internally after 3 months. R rI DECIDED to take it apart to see where it leaked in the case is easy to fix. I've worked on Gaggia many times. Gaggia simple dismantling and parts easy to get partsguru-dot-com. The Capresso Ultima is just the opposite. This requires special equipment, the disconnecting switches, and working in a very small space. However, I 'ma mechanical engineer and I figured it out. After several tests, I found that: (1) internal catchment base this congestion - an easy fix, but a bad design as the entire engine must be dismantled to obtain and (2) plastic steam valve was leaking at the top of the kettle. Plastics have a small steam valve gasket and O-ring at the connection to the boiler that needs replacing. R rOnly Capresso sells parts for engines, and no third party them. When I called Capresso to request parts of the diagram, they say that they won 't send any internal parts diagram or list for Ultima. I then asked them to provide a gasket and O-rings, and they said they would 't! The only option is to send the final into their service center in Pennsylvania at a cost of $ 75 plus shipping. They will not 't even tell you what size gasket and O-ring is so that I can buy it elsewhere. What 's more, this is the part that will fail again. It 's only worn gasket and gasket. Not to mention that the steam valve is made of plastic Which Will Get the fragile and failed. I 've never seen a pump espresso machine that didn ' t have a steam valve metal before. It 's cheap for a reason. It 's more affordable and will not survive. R rThis machine is a waste of time and money! I 'm going to buy another Gaggia coffee maker (should ' t have sold my old). At least be fixed without sending it to a service center.
This machine does exactly what it says it does, makes shots and contains the mess to an internal container that is easy to dump out. We like to clean the machine every day, which takes between ten and fifteen minutes. Right after we make coffee, we run hot water through the steam Spout and the espresso maker to clean the lines. Then we rinse off the top, wipe the excess beans into the container, and wash the other parts. R RWE have one complaint, after a week or two, the steam arm only works in the closed position. It spits water and steam out the wrong end of the tube in the open position, burning and drenching a small area around it. Luckily, we just like lattes, and the closed position Heats milk and creates a lot of foam. R RWE like it because we 're unlikely to spend $ 800 on an automatic, and the thought of finely ground espresso all over my kitchen makes my skin crawl.
When he moved into our new office, I'm looking to get an espresso machine, but worried that getting people to clean it out after using it would prove too difficult. I came across the Capresso and decided to try it because it cleaned up. R rAlmost a year and a half later I 'm very satisfied with this incredible machine. Because it 's that are used differently than most espresso machines, it takes a little getting used to. But once people get the hang of making espresso, it 'sa easy to use. R rFor my office, the self cleaning function far and away the best part of this unit; add coffee into the Chute changing the cover, turn the handle and crank it and turned on the pump. Cleaning is as easy as picking up and turn the crank around once. Clean the interior of reasons to dump a tray, which can accommodate quite a bit. R rThis really is a great unit that makes espresso drinks at the office has easy (and clean).
Not want to spend 500 dollars on a more automatic, so I comprimised semi auto Capresso. Enjoy the flavorful coffee and is a snap to use. simply put the coffee machine, rotate it, press handle down and turn off the bomb. It would be nice to set the amount of espresso that makes it, but wait 5-15 seconds depending on your taste like coffee and quality espresso. I want to give it five stars if it allows you to set the amount of water / espresso machine that flowed through the pump each time you pressed the button, without having to manually turn it off.
I was pleased to see that this product is still selling. I got as a Christmas present there are about 6 years and about a year later, the summit was jammed and he was still under warranty if the company delivered me a new one. Well, here are my pros and cons: rPros: r-Makes a great Lattes, I can do is just the way I want without paying a fortune. Ri as Starbucks when I buy my coffee from them and grind them. R-customer service was great! R Vapor milk perfectly, do not make the sea r-Easy to use. R-appear cheap, but held up to 5 years of use. R rcon: rI can 't put in 2 tablespoons Because the pressure handle Won ' t hook properly, ok with me because I usually make one cup anyway. R-n It 't make 2 cups of strong espresso (OK if you don ' t like coffee too loudly, as I don ') r-cleaning takes a few minutes, so I don ' grind my own Because between coffee grinding, making espresso, steam your milk and cleaning, it can take 10-15min. R rGave this Article 3, because there 's perfect, but I will, there ' t leak, it is just that they slats as I love, and it still works! Good luck!
Capresso Ultima Semi-Automatic Machine - "Works " and "Works "............... I don 't know if you noticed how quality has drastically changed (for worse) in the last 10-15 years, with everything you buy. This machine was very well thought out, basically for anyone to use, hands down ... One of the greatest strengths is the fact that it is so easy to clean ... R r **** for me though, I can make a nice size cup of cappuccino faster than making regular automatic coffee *************
I've been there 3 weeks and I am very happy with it. It makes good espresso. R ri took my time to read instructions, which was very clear and nicely illustrated. This is useful. R rit 's very fast, I turn on power to heat water while I grind the beans. When I 've finished grinding, water is heated and ready, I just pour the ground coffee into the machine, turn, press Down and press a switch, and a few seconds later I get my espresso. Another turn and the used coffee grounds are dumped, and it 's ready for the next use. It takes literally less than a minute to make espresso. R rI use about 3-5 times a week and clean it once a week. Just pop off the flush, top off the coffee and wipe the coffee grounds left little to the inside of the machine (easily accessible). Remove the bottom to empty the used coffee grounds and overflow. The cleaning process takes only a few minutes. There isn 't that easy.
