Reviews
Tiny machine should offer a nice cup. Easy-Serve Pods are super-convenient - I recommend the Grand Lavazza Crema. If you need to dump a lot of coffee / dirt, you 'll probably want something with a little more weight. But for home or small office typical, this is a big deal.
I can 't say much about the quality of espresso made by this machine since I ' m like a rookie (and Don 't even have a decent grinder). However, I can say with some confidence that the steam wand on this machine is too short for a normal amount of steamed milk. It doesn 't even get to the bottom of beer twenty ounce pitcher. It Don 't understand the plastic piece around the bulky end of the tube, why not leave the tip exposed as one of the other machines I ' ve seen? It looks and feels awkward. R rSince I 'm mostly about the Capuchins, who had to return the product. What a shame.
I bought the DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker Oct/09. My old (steam driven) system had died ... I wanted a good amount of espresso makers without spending a ton of money. As I researched the product it became clear that a 'pump action ' intrigue is the most favorable. Product seems to have good reviews and a great price. R kg using the product for several weeks I recommending it. It is clear that "the best value for money and makes great espresso! The downside there is not enough room between the spout and my cup espresso Which caused me to buy a new 'short 'espresso cup ... a small price to pay for a large cup of espresso.
I recently replaced my old tried and true espresso maker with the DeLonghi EC155. We searched for the perfect machine to meet our needs. What we were looking for was: rEase of cleaning. 10 rQuick 10 rCompact 10 rWater storage 7.5 rAble to use pods 10 rThis machine takes half the time to pre heat. The Too Much water is easy enough to get to. It 's small in design, and the milk frother works great and is easy to clean. Now my hubby makes my latte every morning!
This espresso coffee than the other machine defects low cost system uses a pump to force water over the grounds, which produces a coffee instead of coffee. R rit is reliable, reasonably attractive, compact and very inexpensive. R rthe defects are as follows: r - is cumbersome and takes too long to Preheat water as necessary, though not so bad once you practice for a while. R - Placement and the release of the basketball court with the reasons is forced. R - The maximum height between the peak above and below the platform that allows only a very short to receive the cup of espresso. R - If you filled the tank of water while still in the machine-any errors in order that water can pass between the side of the tank and the housing area of the tanks, the making the Watter flow directly poured through a hole in the bottom of the housing and floods over the counter. R rin short, if low cost is the primary decision driver, this is the best low cost machine that I found. If you can pay more money and counterspace, ascend.
This machine makes excellent espresso! The milk steamer is a little uneven and the water drips from it when I 'm taking the coffee, but coffee itself is worth.
For the price you can not do better than this espresso machine. Removable water container. Solid design and construction.
So, I got this product Christmas '08, and would wait to check it judges that it 's life span. RThis is a nice little machine, and has made great coffee while it lasted, even now, 9 months, it is pretty much dead. I would say that if this is your first espresso machine, and you 're not sure how much use you are going to get out of it, it would be a great starter for the money. I used the machine every DAY stage for a latte for the past nine months, and I just don 't think it is ment for that kind of habitual use. So, now I move on to a more serious piece of machinery. Pirate it all seems pretty well made. It is a disease that make more than 2 cups of coffee in it (slow and messy). This can potentially pull two cups at a time (like it shows in the picture), if your looking at 1oz shots (which is way too small - I don 't make a strong latte, and need 3oz. Of Coffee minimum). SAR nice little machine, great for the money, not going to last forever when you close you become an avid espresso maker.
My husband loves coffee and has been waiting for a coffee machine for years. As our first Christmas together as husband and wife that I wanted to give him one, but I had no idea on how to choose good. RThis machine is not professional quality, but it is very good for a house, no problem is too much and keep making good coffee. R Ryou must activate it early because it hot, but also with all espresso machines. Must be cleaned periodically so that the filter is not Coagula (but not every day, using an old toothbrush) and you must be careful not dry. Always remains close to 1-2 inches of water in the reservoir. If dry, the pump restarted the coast, but no big thing, follow through until the water is ready to win. R GH I read some bad reviews for this product and I was a little nervous. But we had that for almost a year and works very well for us.
I was skeptical that a small (or medium-low) MACHINE price could work well, but it proves that it works perfectly. Some previous reviewers have noted some areas of concern (very minor), and I'll offer my solutions for them: r r1. Beak doesn 't allow anything larger than a cup of espresso or a cup of coffee short: Not a big deal for me (our cuts are short and wide and hold all the espresso you can manipulate and still hope to get to sleep that night), but if you want to use a standard mug, simply select the perforated steel plate sitting on the cups and place your cup in the sink below. If there 'fluid in the well, just wipe the cup when you return. R R2. No Cup Warmer: Two solutions here. I use the "Quick " warm-up method described in the manual by running two cups of water in the machine before inserting the grounds, and easily hot water warms the cup. Otherwise, if you let it warm for the traditional 15-30 minutes, the cups sit on the steel sector on top of the machine, which serves hot cup, as stated in the manual . R r3. For frothing nozzle too close to the counter, either get a shorter, wider launcher (I 've actually been using a 16 oz. PYREX measuring cup and it fits very well), or -- you 're brave - find a place where you can put the machine on the left edge of the counter so that the beak overhangs. You can then use a pitcher all the way to the floor if you want. But I like the idea of the scale to better short. R R4. Built-in tamper: Yeah, kinda lame. Come spend 4 males on metal. R rAnyway even at full price (which I didn 't pay), this machine will pay for itself after 25-30 cups of $ 4 fill-in-the-blank-coffee-shop Cappuccino / latte / whatever, excluding consumables.
This machine is awesome. I love this. Else Rthe problem for me is the machine itself is not very high, rsometimes It 's not very convenient when you ' re boil milk / frost take the pipe rsteam. Apart from that, It 's an amazing machine.
Espresso machine rocks when you consider how cheap it was. True, I 've far better to use the machine, but as a poor student, this machine is perfect. It 's very small, which is perfect for a dorm or a smaller apartment. Make sure all accessories that you buy for that little. Ex - don 't buy a larger than 12oz frothing pitcher, won ' t fit under the wall. R RMY complaints will be how shakes when you pull your shots. I really have my glasses hot shot in a position to prevent them from moving. Thus, the end of the stick foam consists of this big plastic thing, which makes it very difficult to see what you 're doing, and exactly how far into your milk. Finally, when you empty out the espresso, it 's Can not strong bricks that you can press it into the trash. It 's really soft, then you should really use a spoon to get it all. R rthe things better is how easy it is to clean, and that it makes a beautiful crema. It 'sa big money saver for me to be able to make a latte at my house. I recommend it to people looking for a machine on a budget.
I never had an espresso machine and want to learn how to make a latte 's and the like. I did quite a bit of research and, for the price, and options, choose this one. I love it! I'm in a Starbucks junkie, and now has learned to make a big latte's, cappachino 's, etc.. I had a blast and saving. I do not have a high problem using foam sticks like the other review. I just use a shim Coast to milk my picture book or a machine with a high shim that I want. If I have one small complaint would be that you should use a small cup of really interesting when you expesso. There are only about 2.5 inches permission but no one can not work around. All in all, you can 't beat the price and ease of use. BTW I actually use pods (though they cost less) but it saves on the ground espresso chaos, and I do not have to tampa! (Will expand the ground espresso and pods eleven out of stocks and save more) ..... if you are a Novice and want to save some cash, and learn how this is done, this is a good little machine to begin with. You will begin saving a few bucks and find out that what Starbucks did not rocket science.
My wife bought this for me. I used a steam engine for a very long time until one day he said he was not the steam engine 't extracing very well, yet dry coffee in the basket. Werther I packed light or not. She worked in a coffee shop for several years, so I would know. I was skeptical, as I am always ready devices. But I gave it a shot. R upper wing, after trying some other Iced Latte 's good coffee shops (not $ Tarbuck), and trying to do at home and seeing you weren ' t the same no matter what I I did, or coffee Yo, I told him to buy me a good one. He found it. For the price, is a very good machine. R rA steam engine could give the command espresso, all it really is, is a concentrated coffee. This is not the true flavor of espresso. The problem is that it heats the water too hot and the powers of water through the extraction of coffee like the taste that is essance espresso. It has a tendency to burn the grounds as water is forced through this medium. R rPump driven machines are much more subtle in that proper tempreture allow water to flow more smoothly and not be forced by high pressure steam. R rone another important factor. If you look, steam Drivem produce grain in the bottom of the pot. This does not happen with a pump driven machine. Or at least not this. R Rif're like me and have used steam engines for years. Do not try this team as one of those. Steam engines are much lower. The amount of coffee that is used is in those more and extraction is completely different from a quality pump driven machine. R r (voice of Yoda) You must unlearn what you have learned. R rthe construction quality of this EC155 seems to be quite solid. I put a whistle during THT is caused by the removal of the valve blowing. What can I do to stop turning the valve on the top, but then the water vapor leaving the tube. That can be annoying at first, but I Don 't think that is hurting. I will work with him and see if I can make it stop. R stratagem of espresso. A very good dark roast, dark roast does not make any. If Don 't as strong coffee, then you can use a dark roast to medium term. But for me, I like strong, so just a very good Espresso Dark Roast will. Coffee Illy, Lavazza, probably of gold. And use a Grind Espresso, nothing finer or courser. It's important. However, I did a mixture of Turkish grind espresso grind and it has worked well too. There are plenty of coffee blends around, and may take several tries to find a good that produces a good taste. This has nothing to do with the quality of the machine, but the qaulity of coffee. You can try the grocery store, but chances are, they won 't have a good quality espresso type of grain there. None of mine do. I bought a can of Illy espresso coffee powder. It 's good, but too expensive (about $ 30/lb). We have a coffee roaster and espresso blends are as good or better for $ 12 a pound. R rDo not tamp too hard. I've been rammed too hard. If you need to know, press on a bathroom scale to about 30 pounds, is less and more than you think. The proper tamp makes a big difference. Basically, I got down to place the coffee in the basket (single or double, are the same movement), lightly press out level, then a little more pressure and a shift to smooth the surface. Takes a little practice to get a firm objective level, the package without problems. Then just push any excess edge at the basket or off and you're ready. R rone another little thing,,, throw the splitter. I'm not sure I'm impressed with it. It doesn 't seem consistent enough to pull 2 shots also unique at the same time. I'm skeptical of this feature in any unit, not just this one. R rmy machine is ready in about 5 minutes, then vacuum out a shot or two. Then load a bullet and pull it. It is 15 to 45 minutes, like some, and even the book. However, the book may Times Promote some nuances that can make a difference on some level, I personally only Don 't really matter. Give me my coffee and shut up. R rthe basket diameter is 54 mm r rBuy in Tampa. The built in one is not so great. Difficult to obtain a suitable package. RA 52mm Tamper think it's the perfect size. I am using a meat mallet (smooth side, duh) rthat is 50 mm and it works very well. R ron the bottom of the shoe is a button that can be removed for cleaning. Loosen completely and then just tighten up the point of tension. This will allow better extraction. R rfind, buy or get a 2 oz espresso cup measurement is made much easier vaccine r rWhen pulling a shot, depending on the package and routine, could be about 15 to 17 seconds for a double. From 7 to 10 seconds for a single R. Beam pulling a shot and remove the basketball, yes, you will see that coffee is wet, with water on top, and sometimes a little thick at the top. But in reality is not so much about how others may do so to be. Still gets a very good shot. Again, this is not the steam espresso machine. R rThis is much, much, much, much better. R rthe held in the bucket when emptying is a bit peculiar.
I bought this espresso machine a few months ago, after thorough research. The espresso makes it delicious. It is easy to use and easy to clean too. The only problems I had with him are: 1) the water reservoir started leaking last week, I would come home and have water on the countertop. 2) The steamer wand she too low to fit under a glass, so I have to give my milk in a bowl to said steam. 3) You did a really short mug or otherwise use a dish to fit under the espresso drip. I will have to return the machine because of the water leak, but otherwise I love this machine.
This is a candy machine, easy to use, make my wife a quick billy always beside I 'm saving $ 7 buck a week in girls, work as advertised! I'm very happy with this machine!
I bought this coffee
I have to agree with the majority here. The machine works perfectly well. Really much, much better than expected! I still managed to pull two good, strong (very strong for my taste anyway) double shots of a large basket full (two teaspoons pounded pretty tight) and make my first shot 4x homemade white mocha! It was as good as what I get from my favorite coffee shack, (The hand of the owner picks and their own baked beans so I buy them by the pound or two of them) or the work of our coffee at home. Probably helps that I have a burr grinder and can grind the coffee to my specifications right before I take. R rthe steam wand isn 't that much of a pain. I found that a pattern of 12-20 oz Frothing Pitcher Krups fits very well with him. For the price, this machine can not be beat! And now it 's $ 15 cheaper than what I paid for it! Right now, I'm "extremely happy with my purchase! Yes, I 'm excited, can ' t you tell by all the exclamation marks ?!?!?!!: M pi 'just a little too hopped to the coffee now, LOL! R ras a note: I do not seem to have a soupy mess as some others mentioned in the media when I 'm done, I get a nice disk. r rto Steve Smith: r rRegarding his complaint about the reasons for the basket to fall when you empty the trash. The secret is, there 'sa plastic lever on the handle you have to turn and handle with your thumb while emptying the basket to maintain the support lest he fall! How could you miss this? It is also useful if you like the rationale for washing down the disposal. r rTips: r r1. I recommend getting a good burr grinder like this: Capresso 558/01 Burr Coffee Grinder and grinding fresh before maturing, which makes all the difference in the world! takes a little longer, but it 's well worth the wait. r r2. To speed things up, I keep coffee pre-ground coffee in the refrigerator in an airtight container, as well as my un-ground beans in an airtight container route. It keeps the coffee nice and cool. Do not store or coffee beans in the freezer or it will ruin the coffee beans! Especially thaw Automatic! r r3. If you love white mochas like me, you can buy mix white chocolate powder directly Ghirardelli for only $ 19.95 shipped to your door via UPS. Mine is here in 2 days! They are also syrup, but it 's around $ 24.95 transferred to a 64 oz bottle.
I have 2 espresso machines that do not hold as well and this had been an animal! I firmly believe that this one will stand the test of time over the years and makes great coffee to boot. A few things I is don 't like about what is not a big deal now, 1st Hardly enough room to sit on the milk jug under the device and 2 Fill the water tank is a bit small, and try to mine every other day because it got quite an attitude when you are out of the water.
That was progress compared to the non-pump-maker but not much more expensive for the big boost in terms of quality of coffee. She uses the vapor of milk every morning, even Sips and professional, seeking to distance his cup-full. Only slight problem is how much force it takes to lock the basket in place, one really feels like we're going to get something to break the unity of all its location nearby.
This is a great machine! Easy to use, fast, and most importantly, makes a nice cup of espresso, as good as I had it. The espresso comes out strong, full-bodied, rich and very creamy. The price is great. I'm not a fan of cappuccino, but I have used the nozzle to make friends, and it works very well too. I advised him to an addict Italian espresso, and I loved it so much (after swearing that I would only use a stove, coffee mocha later), he is buying a second to the office. It 's also compact, and beautiful. The instructions in the beginning is a little intimidating, but you 'll find it in 5 minutes. (Use the second method - Quick Start - It 's better all around). You 'll fall in love.
I tried the Hamilton Beach, which was a little less money, but had to return it, since steam 'wouldn t properly. I 've tried several of the machines more expensive as well. This little machine is great and always makes the steam ideal for my cappuccino! Buy one and enjoy, is the value sa 'great for the money.
We bought this in my office we have about 4 PEOPLE. Easy to operate, makes a great ESPRESSO. You need it OVER 5 times before they actually taste NICE USE, you have to BREAK THE MACHINE IN. Easy to clean.
Make a decent espresso, but not dark enough. Easy to use. If you 're buying this machine to make a Cappuccino, find something else. Can 't properly frothing milk. There is no form!
