Reviews

I was worried about purchasing this Saeco based quailty other negative reviews, but decided to go ahead and hope that they were exceptions. After spending most of my morning reading the instructions, the trigger and prepare for my first drawing of the house, I found that the water does not pass through the filter. After calling Saeco, they promptly offered to send me another PORTAFILTER no questions asked. They also explained that I needed to send the machine out for repair, if that was the problem. I 'm really worried that, even if the new PORTAFILTER solve the problem, I ' ll have other problems, as described by others, as time goes on. R rWell. I 've got to admit, Saeco didn ' t life at any time getting the PORTAFILTER new to me and now the problem is solved. I think it arrived within 3 working days and the espresso machine is very nice. I 'll hope that this is the only problem.

The espresso coffee machine made great, but the steam function broke after 30 days. The steam comes out, but lasts only 2 or 3 seconds is not sufficient to foam the milk. I returned to Saeco now set the RA number and shipping. Or have a lemon or not this brand is reliable.

I made a lot of research before committing funds to buy this car and I was not disappointed. This is a machine of high quality and customer service was excellent, when I had problems. Do 6 shots of espresso a day and this car feels as if it will last long.

Dissatisfying After years of mediocre - or worse - from my Krups espresso quality together, plus the hassle of individual filling the water reservoir for each cup, a friend in Seattle showed me her Saeco Aroma. I was impressed with the ease of use, small footprint and quality of the coffee. Great cream, large water reservoir, heating and convenient cup shelf on top. I bought one from Amazon (for nearly half the retail price advertised elsewhere) and have been extremely happy with the purchase. Good quality, simple to use and great results. It isn 't the quietest machine out there, but no espresso pump is silent.

I researched espresso machines long before finally settling on the Aroma SS Redesign (round buttons instead of switches). Probably like you, I have a long history of buying expensive gadgets, only to quickly grow bored with them. Well, I bought the car at the end of February and have used it almost every day since then. R rI Used To Love Dunkin Donuts coffee! But I could never replicate at home. Well, I can do now and lattes 're better than $ $ Tarbuck. It wasn 't hard to learn, either. It takes me about 15 minutes to make coffee, two servings of milk foam and clean the machine. My Saeco Aroma has already paid for itself. If you receive a tamper, cleaning the machine is much easier (coffee doesn 't get up in it). But cleaning still stinks. R rI that this is a very good entry level machine. The SS version is well done. It 'very easy to use. There were some missing accessories that you 'll need / will make your life easier: r1. The frothing pitcher and thermometer. I bought a combo kit with a pitcher from SS C & B for $ 15ish. R2. A 53 millimeters of tampering. MM 53 fits perfectly in the holder. I bought an aluminum Rattleware on Amazon for $ 20. Really makes things easier. RRattleware of 53 mm Aluminum Tamper r3. Brewing pitcher. Saeco doesn 't give you anything really BREW express a. I bought two jugs beer 5 oz, once again by Rattleware on Amazon. They make things easier that way. RRattleware 5-Ounce Brew Pitcher R4. Coffee. I like Lavazza, has a little bit. My GF likes some Illy and 'Aquino online more (available and Trader Giotto ' s!). I don 't think you need a player of espresso. R RBY way, you can get the SS version of the Aroma of $ 279 to $ Co TCO. This was the best deal I found. R rI love my Saeco Aroma. I now look forward to waking up in the morning so that I can enjoy a latte ... and I 'm not a morning person! GF loves it, too! I joke with her that the only reason he's with me and the Lattes. If you have $ 300 to spend on a good entry level espresso machine (or if the GF is threatening to leave you), you could do much worse than this. Consider yourself warned: You won 't be able to drink concoctions at Tarbuck $ $ and you can develop a milk "problem! " R rDisclaimer: This is my first review and I have no ties to anyone or Saeco the rest of the industry.

I had the same problem as other reviewers. This machine worked very well for some months and then the pump stopped working. We had regular maintenance and descaling may be in these two months. The machine was still under warranty, but Saeco learn to take, it was like pulling teeth. The first series of calls and emails Saeco was to find the many ways that we probably did something wrong (we were asked, for example, if we had washed the filter basket ...) When the Finally, resistently and admitted that he looked like a defective pump they took the machine * * IT repaired and returned. The machine never worked properly again. And most impressively, when we tried to contact Kim Airey and Saeco, she first told me there were a number of repair shops that I could turn, then stopped responding entirely me (?). It seems that there is a recurring problem customer service and Saeco (you can find similar problems in the comments of several of their products, see the Sirena for example), and, unfortunately, their machines, while in Great labor, tend to work must continue to work. The man, finding the right espresso machine at the right price is not easy as we would like. But again, there are worse tragedies in life.

This is a great espresso machine. My wife and I are big research online and narrowed it down to the Saeco Aroma. The fascinating things: stainless steel housing is very hard and a pleasant decor for a kitchen appliance, high quality simple mechanics that provide consistent, fast heat and easy to use machine. Portafilter The works like it should. It creates the perfect cream at every opportunity and the right temp. We prefer to use pre-ground fine espresso that comes in an airtight canister, like Illy. The ESE pods also a good alternative if you are looking to serve a large group of visitors b / c it makes cleaning up easier. The starbucks espresso pods are good for starting or delivering guests to be new to drinking espresso b / c of milder taste than the more powerful the Italian roasts made. Gaggia is a good choice for an entry-mid level machine. But Saeco 's pressure portafilter, solid stainless steel housing and reliable mechanics as a stainless steel kettle that offers a great value.

I 've been running this machine for 2 years now. Very good quality built in units. I do a ton of reading before buying and I am very happy with my decision to buy Saeco. The most comparable machine is Rancilio Silvia, Which is far more expensive. R rthe link may be the only WEAK PORTAFILTER The handle is plastic. If you crank too hard, it will loosen or damaged. R rthe pressurized filter does a pretty good job (this included with your machine), and you just add the coffee and go - without tamping. If you are interested to attract real fire, though, I suggest you buy extra UNPRESSURIZED PORTAFILTER. This one will require you to do some tamping. R rFor tamps, you will need a 53mm items. I am very pleased with one of the Amazon / Rattleware. Its a perfect fit: 53-millimeter rRattleware Round-Handled Tamper, Small r rall say, this is a big machine that took a beautiful shot.

I've been using this for a couple days now. I bought the replacement for the Rancilio Silvia Espresso Machine Rancilio Silvia that expired after only a couple of years (my bad ... I leave in a week without beer and the boiler was likely to dry.) Stop costs twice the price right for this unit to replace my Silvia and now can not wait to be repaired, I bought this unit. This was my third pump-driven espresso machine in recent years and so far has been close to my Silvia, both head and shoulders above the first. I was very happy, despite their disappointment in some aspects. R rPros: RO makes great coffee - good taste and cream r easier to get good results Silvia RO Silvia steam and exhaust steam could not pass over drip tray, this unit does not seem leaks (so far) and if you do the foaming can swing on the drip tray Heat quickly r r Cycles (relatively) fast between beer and steam r rCons: ro I prefer a basic steam wand .. . The stirred Saeco seems to generate the volume that I could get a traditional rod RO As noted elsewhere, there is enough space between the nozzle and stoves, to put the unit near The Edge. I asked my in a 2 "platform and there is still not enough space for a pitcher-sized or large cup r Each revision of any espresso maker that I read complains about the inability to brew directly into a large bowl. This unit is the worst I've seen in this regard. I get a 5 oz pitcher there, but even an 8 oz pitcher fit. RO basket beer is _tall_. Do not adjust dispenser on my Rancilio ROCKY Rancilio Burr Grinder Rancilio Rocky grinder with doser, so I am reduced to spooning out the coffee pot instead of using the dispenser. r Rall in all, I'm happy - Silvia, but was in repair when circumstances allow.

I am extremely picky when it comes to coffee, believe me when I say that for what you pay for, this machine is a Jem. I can guarantee that 90% of those who try it will be able to produce pictures that are consistently better than any coffee business (S 'Bucks, Carriba, etc.) with a week ' s practice. R rthe physical construction is very refined. It 's full of metal, except for the tank, the drip pan (generously deep) and the portafilter handle. The portafilter is a twin and comes with a booklet of a shell of espresso (but you 'd never use these, right? Fresh beans only, right?) The plastic handle is mounted on a spring system so that it has some give. It feels a little strange, but 'will not break. It's a pressurized portafilter so that you may want to upgrade later, but for most people who want to spend less than 1K on a machine that will be fine. R rthe steam wand has a self-plastic nozzle that honestly works better than most as long as you keep it just off the bottom of the jar. It will produce foam that 's quite acceptable. You won 't be able to produce foam really amazing how you find the best shops and you won ' t be able to control the ratio of your milk foam very well (have a great time of foam. I find it ' s perfect for cappuccinos, but playing out a lot of milk by macchiatos and foam making lattes.) I haven 't been able to find a replacement that ' s long enough to not use the plastic tip, but ' s not the worst thing in the world. R rif you want to get good results, however, you need 'll be willing to spend a little more on accessories. A good grinder and fresh beans * not *- Starbucks are a MUST aboslute. Packaged: machine, portafilter and nothing more. You have to go and buy a jar of foam, thermometer, shot glasses / mugs of beer and a cover-up. Those you can get and save on cheap and not the effect of your coffee radically. Don 't skimp on the grinder or the beans! Not ever.Personally, I 'd suggest some Baratza ' s refurbished grinders and Peet 's Bean Espresso Forte. R line rbottom : this may be the perfect way to dip your toe into the world of coffee or take a step ahead of one cheaper.

This is a machine that I had hoped for more than 1 year but did not buy because it was too expensive for budjet but I accept it as a Christmas gift from my wife. I have espresso and all the famous coffee shops in the United States and also in Europe. I must say that this machine makes as good or better than I ever had and very user friendly and easy to use, too. I have read some reviews too complant a cleaning but I also tell the coffee as far as preparations go I don 't know how it could be any eaiser. No it's not the most fashionable and beautiful machines out there but after my first week using the above-average 3 times a day I am very pleased with the beautiful and very delicious double shot of espresso and mocha java to make my perfect cousin. For me, I've found that 1 tablespoon well rounded with a moderate tamp with Botton of the spoon that comes with the perfect machine to make double Expresso Crema with a perfect peak work very well. For now I use a Krups blade 12 years and only the land GRINDER with eyes to medium fine texture which takes about 30 seconds. So for now I don 't understand the big deal with thorns GRINDER expensive. Maybe I'll learn a different way but for now I 'm happy! Until now I give this machine an A + and thanks to my wife as a gift!

I am thrilled with my new Saeco espresso maker, perfectly foamed milk, cream, rich espresso and does so with ease. Functionally the machine runs smoothly, without the drawbacks that I 've in a month of daily use. R rther two vital factors in brewing the perfect cup, suitable for grinding coffee beans and of course the quality of the grains themselves. To complement my new Saeco bought the Capresso Infinity Burr Grinder that does an excellent job and it does have a noticeable difference in taste and quality of their coffee. In his search for the best beans, freshness is essential, for an organic, coffee roaster of fair trade that his bag of fresh date stamps. I 've experienced a lot of beans and found that coffee with milk and extra dark roasted French bean creates a perfect cup of espresso for my morning coffee. I can tell you this, if you follow this formula, you may not want to drink a Starbuck 's anymore. Everyone will come to your house for coffee. PS One more suggestion .... contrary to popular custom, the coffee loses its flavor when stored in the freezer - are best stored at room temperature in a dark container, for grains are not exposed to light.

For the price and the quality of the product and the end result this machine can not be beat. We purchased it for espressos, cremas, cappuccinos, and lattes and could not be happier. R rPreviously, we had owned a mediocre Braun and moved up to what we thought was good in a Breville and have to say that As far as "bang for the buck " and the quality what it produces - one could not ask for a better machine. It is simple, to the point, and one has the discipline oz down as to method - there is no comparison to anything we have owned in the past. R rthe only concern that we might have is durability and longevity as the Breville gave up the ghost after two years with declining quality of product after a year and a half of use and proper care. However, from its performance thus far, and the product reviews posted here - we feel that we have purchased a machine that will continue to provide exceptional quality espresso and froth for much longer than our previous machines with proper care. R rThus to , the machine is a joy to own!

Purchased as a replacement for a Gran Crema that didn 't make it quite three years as it cost about the same for a similar new machine as it would to ship and repair the Gran Crema. Since this basically works as advertised this review is only for some quirks and unexpected behaviors. These are not really negative, just something unusual. R rthe warming tray is useless - too slow (half hour or more) and doesn 't high enough heat. R rthe steam valve was moved to the center so it is now inconvenient for everyone, not just left-handed v. right-handed. r rthe ready lights are wired strangely - the light goes off when the programmed temperature is reached, and when the correct temperature is reached for Steaming / Frothing it is the light on the separate water pump / brew switch that goes out - this is the same switch that is used to report status and brewing operate the pump for drawing espresso. r ROTHERS have complained that the drip tray isn 't deep enough for a Frothing pitcher - I disagree and have found that a 20 ounce Frothing pitcher sits nicely. The only thing is that the height between the top of the drop tray and the bottom of the brew group with portafilter installed is a bit low. This machine is apparently intended to be operated close to a sink for easier cleanup and control of spillage. R rThis machine uses a pickup tube to draw water from the tank and the setup is such that the water tank has to clear the entire height of the machine if removing the tank to fill or clean. My Gran Crema had a superior design in that you only had to lift the tank an inch or so to remove and took suction directly from the actual tank through a pipe instead.

Just got this today ... based off of Alton Brown 's unofficial endorsement. I got the newer one (with 2 buttons in front and the power on the side, no flip switches). Made a few cups (ok, three ... maybe that was a bit excessive). The instructions do suck ... I 'll admit that. Combined instructions in multiple languages don 't help anyone ... separate sections, please!! But the customer service was easy and the folks were nice. There 'sa container and a piece of wood ... I was very confused, but they told me that ' s for dislodging the puck when it 's done ... slam the portafilter on the wood, used grounds come out . They told me to send steam through the wand to clear out the pipes ... very useful as the first try with the portafilter didn 't produce water. Also, this model has a self tamper ... no need to manually Load imgs, and produced a puck at the end! And only fill 3 / 4 of the way with grounds (as far as I can tell, that 's well below 15G). So far, it 's great. Simple, small, and solid. Easy to use & clean. I haven 't yet frothed. If anyone else has any issues / observations with the newer models, please let me know.

Like everyone else, I did a fair amount of research I tried to change my last machine. All-in-all I think the reviews on Amazon are somewhat correct but I wanted a comment on a few negative aspects that I read which almost stopped me from buying this machine. R r1. I read a couple reviews that said the coffee comes from the top / sides and the bottom hole. This only happens if you have babies in the yard too. Example: I need a baby in my last espresso makers 's 2nd-flush screen shot above. The machine can only child is 2 / 3 's up with gold tones yard. Very easy to learn and deal with. Of course your grind is very important but that 's obvious and needs to have figured out for each machine. R r2. The Steaming / frothing wand. Yes it will not lift up so very little clearance under the stick without slopping milk and plastic auto-frother creates too many bubbles before milk is hot. Solution: The Plastic auto-frother comes off easily to reveal a simple metal tube with plenty of clearance. I do not believe I read it anywhere and it is an important feature for such as myself who want to create bubbles by hand. R ri really doubt you can do unless better you jump to $ 600 + level.

This one again if you 'from Europe and appreciate good coffee at a good price. Espresso is really hot and the big lie! All in all, this is a buy!

I had the same experience as Carriego. It made great espresso for 3 days. Now it won 't pump water. I haven 't decided yet if I am going to send it back to the company yet so I can ' t comment on their customer service.

This machine works great, is due to heavy metals and delicious creamy espresso. This machine does not lose as the Gaggia I tried before and the price is by far the best I've used. If you get it from Amazon you will get the best service ever! The water tank on the back is removable for filling and cleaning the tanks of water retention for coffee falls below is removable, easy to clean, fairly large and of excellent quality. The metal screen not rust and whiproll is solid. Saeco is the perfect Italian espresso lover 's car and is so solid that ' s, as was done in Germany and not Italian:) I checked a lot of brands, models and review and that 's far from the best I have found for the dollars. I have owned fully automatic machines for 10X the price paid here and you are doing better expressed than any of them ... This machine is a success!

If you are a beginner or noice to espresso making machine this is a great choice. After years (9) my wife with a $ 40 Krups model, I give this machine for his birthday after seeing Alton Brown uses in his program "good eats. " The machine performed great producing always a nice creamy head. My wife loves it.

I Considered buying more handsome Saeco machine and then realized I would pay $ 400 for the same function like this $ 150 Saeco models. This is a small espresso coffee maker ... composed, easy to use, easy to clean. Makes a nice double shot in about 15 seconds, which came out perfect in a thin stream just as it should. Beautiful crema. Reheat quickly after brewing and steaming. Portafilter head heavier than the older than I Saeco owned, seems more powerful. My only complaint is the same as everyone else 's, that the steamer arm doesn ' t bend, but once you realize that you do not overfill the milk, it 's no big deal. R rThis is a simple machine that works great by the day. Unless you need a BMW in your kitchen (which Sirena ... SBUX) this will do the work for you, for far less money.

30,013 Saeco Aroma Traditional Espresso Machine: Works great! I have no complaints about any part of the machine or work.

This machine makes great coffee. Easy to use, espresso is flavorful and very creamy. It produces great espresso with any nice ground coffee. Makes a lot of foam, the foam dripped Although a little too much water for my taste, making the somewhat watery milk ... goal foamy. I was very happy with it anyhow, for the first month and a half, using it daily. One day it started leaking, instead of dripping water through the coffee, the water was leaking by the side of the pressure chamber. I just returned it. For me the best costumer service is the one I do not need to use.

I just bought this machine after reading several reviews. This is my second espresso machine, and makes exceptional coffee with perfect crema (foam of coffee). For the discounted price is a bargain. R rthe only difficulty I had was with the instructions. First, make sure the filter is closely place. The first few times with the car, you push a little 'difficult. The handle should be facing you, in line with the indicator at the top. If you do not lose water and coffee will be dissolved flavor. From the instruction booklet, it is not so clearly explained. Some reviewers complained about loss of water, and I think this could be the reason. R rNext, be sure to do some laps with only water when it comes to the car. Is there any coffee residue testing, and even dust, etc. In this way, you can also practice placing the filter holder. They ship in most parts of the car, including a piece of wood (!). If you want you can use coffee pods with the adapter wafer (something good to sell Lavazza, although pricy. Unfortunately you can not use the capsules Nespresso here ...) r Rother that, enjoy! I try to change the beans and blends regularly, and I can enjoy a gourmet coffee at very reasonable prices ... Where I live, the Mexican market and Brazilian sells Colombian coffee beans, which are pretty good at a very affordable price ($ 5 to $ 8 a pound or two). Of course, some Italians are perfect roast (Illy), but you pay for them. Anyway, you can save $ 2 to $ 3 you pay for an espresso a day ... For the price of $ 140 mentioned above, you will pay for the car in 4 months! R rmy first car was a $ 40 Mr. Coffee ... It 'ok to begin with, but you can never get the taste of different blends (hey, $ 40 for a machine, don ' t buy a bag of coffee and $ 40 ...), it's fairly easy to burn the coffee. .. After getting the Saeco Aroma, I can do essentially coffee house quality espresso and capuccinos.

Aroma I have this machine for about 10 days now, but it is absolutely wonderful. I have not owned an espresso machine in the past but I have not worked in a cafe, so I have some experience of making espresso and cappuccino. R rthe machine was very easy to assemble. The instructions are clear. People who do not use the espresso machine before, make sure you read the instructions, especially on how to roll the first circuit before making the coffee. This purging is a must if you have not used the machine at all or have not used for some time. In fact, I initially before each use to be sure. R rSteam must be "started " because the water comes first. But after about 5 seconds, still hot steam escapes. So you need a small container or a glass at all times near the machine, steamed first, then you're ready to continue. Do not pack too much into the coffee machine. The grinding I did was done using a coffee grinder to very basic with steel blades (a Cuisinart) and I just crushed a lot until the grind is fine. The first coffee I made was actually an "American " - watered down version of the double espresso and it was actually too strong for me. I'm not used to express so it was quite strong but not bitter. The taste is wonderful. I use a local coffee shop in Montreal (Coffee Black) Ethiopian and had "Sidamo " beans, 80% dark/20% mixture of brown. The taste is rich, with lots of cream (foam on top of coffee) and without bitterness or just a little bitter. R rthe milk steamer is good and works well. However, the lack of arm adjustable steam (it does not move from top to bottom) needs a little "Adaptation " from the end user. I knew this non-steamer fixed adjustable height before buying the machine, but he had received good reviews for taste as I went for it. All we need is to put the machine to The Edge of a meter, a thin and small (perhaps up to 4-6 oz) containers to hold under your arm and you're ready for the hot milk and frothy. R rthe water container is also important if there is a lot of water reserve. The machine has an adjustable pressure steam that turn the knob (front right). R ri love the sweetness of the coffee that has lots and lots of foam (cream) in it and the taste is really a pleasure compared to what my Braun filter coffee machine that I used previously because of low coffee . R ri can not say much about long term reliability yet since I only have the machine run for about 10 days now, but I can update this review in a few months or a year. R rHighly recommended. Do not judge this machine by its "plain " look - it makes wonderful coffee!
